New PORG (Nový PORG) – Gymnasium
Overview:
On the 1st of September 2008 we opened a new eight-year gymnasium, New PORG (Nový PORG).
New PORG - Gymnasium offers bilingual tuition in Czech and English and the
teaching staff are highly qualified teachers from English speaking
countries.
Students at New PORG - Gymnasium will complete their studies with the Czech
graduation exam ‘Maturita’ and also with internationally recognised IB
(International Baccalaureate) Diploma. Our school would like to become an
International Baccalaureate Organisation registered school1.
These two pre-university diplomas enable students to pursue their studies at
both Czech and leading foreign universities.
New PORG – Gymnasium students are prepared for international language exams: FCE, CAE (English, Delf (French) and ZD (German).
New PORG - Gymnasium responds to both contemporary trends in education
whilst devoting itself to the ideals of a classical humanistic education.
PORG provides opportunities for long-term stay at secondary and high schools
in the USA, Germany and UK. The best students of sciences are also offered
opportunities to work and study in top-ranking scientific institutions.
New PORG - Gymnasium is affordable for all families who value education. We
offer a wide range of bursaries, even for average income families

New PORG - Gymnasium accepts only quality students (PORG has its own
carefully formulated and completely transparent entrance exams; the number
of applicants to places is approximately 5:1). PORG maintains rigorous
academic standards.

[4] Novy PORG – gymnasium hasn’t started yet the registration process with IBO because our oldest students for school year 2008 – 09 are 13, thus we will address IBO with our registration request in year 2009.
